We booked a Saturday afternoon session at the Gin School as our anniversary present. Emma and Rich are excellent hosts and kept us supplied with G&Ts throughout the afternoon as well as taster samples of their 5 stunning gin products.

My husband was kept topped up with soft drinks as he was driving on this occasion.

The tour was informative and Rich is very knowledgeable and passionate about his craft.

We then spent time learning about and selecting our own botanicals to create our own personal bottle of gin.

A highly enjoyable and relaxing afternoon with 2 people who truly love their work.

Located on a farm just outside Harborough Magna near Rugby, we were greeted warmly by Emma and Rich. We had decided to cycle and they took pity on us by offering a cool water upon arrival, quickly followed by a very refreshing orange gin.

Before we knew it we were listening to a story about the origins of Rugby Distillery and enjoying a navy gin. The gin school itself was very informative and we were guided through how to make our very own bottle of gin (while enjoying another few Rugby Gin flavours).

As we sat admiring the output of our afternoon, we were given another flavour to sample. The whole afternoon was fun, informative and welcoming. Highly recommend having a go. Luckily the cycle home was mostly downhill!

I booked this experience for my partners birthday as it thought it was something different. We were welcomed by Emma and Richard (great hosts!), we instantly felt relaxed and comfortable.

Emma and Richard’s knowledge on gin and their story made it very professional but personal at the same time. We had such a great night, thank you for making our experience so enjoyable.

Highly recommend you get a taxi home though!

We had a most enjoyable evening distilling our own bottle of gin - with help from Emma and Richard advising us on how to choose our botanicals, setting up our still and bottling our finished product.

Our favourite bit was tasting our gin and seeing how the flavours changed as it came out of the still. It was a fabulous experience which we would thoroughly recommend to everyone. Thank you to Emma and Richard for being such wonderful hosts!

My wife and I are really big fans of Rugby gin, and so as a treat to ourselves decided to give the Gin School experience they run a try... and we were so glad we did!

The whole experience was truly fantastic, from the amazing G+T placed in our hands on arrival (the 1st of many!) to the interesting tour of the gin stills, exploration of the hundreds of different botanicals on offer and of course, the gin making itself!

This really is a step up from your run of the mill make your own gin style course, and genuinely feels like a bespoke personal gin, right down to the professional looking bottle and label. Rich and Emma are both so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable, a true class double act. Have to say, our gin tasted bloody good too!
