Here at Rugby Distillery we are passionate about our product and our town and part of our ethos is to give back to our community and support other local charitable organisation and business owners.
Our latest project is the sponsorship of a beautiful display of shrubs and grasses on the Corporation Street roundabout in honour of the Rotary Club of Rugby centenary celebrations and in partnership with the Rugby In Bloom project.
The Rotary Club of Rugby was founded in 1922 and is celebrating its centenary year. They have been active for almost one hundred years in a wide range of service projects, both local and international, as well as running a varied programme of social and fund raising events.
Read more about the Rugby Rotary club centenary project over on their website.
In 2021 Rugby struck gold at at the Heart of England in Bloom awards winning the small city category, and so Rugby in Bloom supports our entry to the national Britain in Bloom campaign and encourages our communities to brighten up the borough with floral displays.
There are some fantastic displays all around town, and we think ours looks great.  We even managed to find a beautiful Rugby In Bloom jigsaw available in Hunts, our local independent bookseller.
Kudos to the team at Rugby Borough Council who put the fantastic display together, which took an immense amount of skill with the fine detail required. We aren’t quite so talented with our gardens, although Richard is still busy tending his Rugby School grass at home in his garden, where his grass is definitely always greener!
